It seems that ConocoPhillips knows when they have been caught. The following is a lawsuit for unpaid overtime. There really isn't too much to report on this one though as ConocoPhillips entered into a confidential settlment shortly after it was filed. The only thing to note is that the complaint improperly requested prejudgment interest, something which is not allowed under the FLSA. Instead, employees are entitled to liqudated damages, or double the amout of the unpaid overtime. Usually, the liqudated damages works out better for the employee.
